Handbook of roentgenology
Sir Bittner and Mr Rossdeutscher succeed in the difficult endeavor to cover all diagnostic radiology, i.e. imaging diagnostics, including interventional methods, in one book with a pocket format, without making significant omissions.
The authors achieve their goal by presenting the most essential of the collected clinical experience and the latest scientific achievements in a concise and overview form. At the same time, they deliberately and for reasons of principle do not include photographic material, but develop the individual questions in the form of sketches as easily understandable and overview presentations of the findings, as evidenced by over 1000 carefully made computer graphics.
100 years after the discovery of X-rays, diagnostic radiology has reached dimensions that are hard to fathom, adding to this the constant striving for modernization, since radiology is one of the most innovative specialties in clinical medicine, and in addition, innovations must be taken into account in other clinical disciplines.
There is currently no similar book on the German book market and it ranks among the established clinical compendiums. At the same time, it is not a substitute for one's own clinical experience, but an aid in gaining experience, in making the right decision, and a necessary aid in today's mandatory expediency.
I wish the book a successful reception among German-speaking doctors.
