The current textbook on human physiology
is intended for students of the specialty "Nurse" and "Midwife". The need to write such a textbook arose after the training in human physiology was expanded significantly in connection with obtaining a Bachelor's degree“ of graduates of the specialty "Nursing" and "Midwifery". Professional care for the sick person is impossible without knowledge of the normal functioning of the human organism and the specific changes that occur in it at any disease. Care for the pregnant woman A woman and a woman in labor require in-depth knowledge of all the changes that occur in the female body during pregnancy and after childbirth. Therefore, this textbook presents modern knowledge about how individual cells, tissues, organs and systems in the human body function, as well as the mechanisms of their regulation and adaptation to changes in the conditions of existence, including during pregnancy. The material is richly illustrated with illustrations and diagrams, which I hope will help students in its understanding and comprehension.
All sections of the textbook are built on a general plan. At the beginning, the specific functions of each system in the body are considered, then its structure is briefly presented so that the functions can be linked to their morphological substrate. This is followed by a more detailed description of the main physiological processes that are responsible for the functioning of the given system, as well as the mechanisms of their regulation. Finally, some of the main changes that occur in the body in diseases that disrupt the functions of the given system are presented. This will help students understand the close relationship between physiology and clinical practice.
