The creation of the compendium was provoked by the unexpected social isolation that the COVID-19 pandemic has placed us in and by the need to respond quickly and adequately to the questions and needs of students.

COVID-19 has irrevocably reordered our value system and public order, including in the field of public health. The need for curative and preventive care related to the extraordinary epidemiological situation has categorically proven that nurses and midwives are the "backbone" of healthcare.

„"The main purpose of the compendium is to introduce you to the course and provide information about the role of the midwife in the field of public health. Materials from the lecture course and exercises based on the university platform Blackboard are included. In Appendix 1. you will find the instructions for your coursework. In addition to the individual test, group submission assignments are set through Blackboard, which is a wonderful opportunity for practical application of what has been learned, as well as for the development of skills to work together. In Appendixes 2. to 5. are the short knowledge test tests intended for feedback to the teacher at the end of each lecture module."“
