Dental cements and techniques for fixation of prosthetic structures

In fixed prosthodontics, fixation of the prosthetic structure is most often the last finishing stage of treatment. It largely solves the problems with the retention and stability of the structures, disturbed as a result of deviations from the clinical and laboratory protocol.
In recent years /1980-2008/ the group of dental cements has been enriched with new materials with unique properties. Fixation techniques are also partly changing, as are views on the advantages, disadvantages and indications of different means of fixation.
A significant portion of these new views have not been discussed in dentistry literature in our country. Their ignorance lies at the root of some practical problems, which provides a strong basis for their extensive consideration in this book.
