Anatomical, kinesiological data and pathokinesiology of the motor and nervous system
Kinesiology and kinesiology are integral sciences combining knowledge from different disciplines – anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, medicine. On the other hand, they are an important source of fundamental knowledge regarding other disciplines; studying the musculoskeletal and neuromuscular systems – orthopedics and traumatology, neurology, kinesitherapy, occupational therapy and others.
From a practical point of view, kinesiology and kinesiology are the basis of the construction of modern kinesitherapeutic and other functional-restorative programs. In-depth knowledge of the normal kinesiological characteristics of the segments in the musculoskeletal system; are a prerequisite for a correct pathokinesiological analysis of the changes occurring in various diseases and injuries.
The results of the pathokinesiological analysis, in turn, determine the main functional-restorative goals and tasks in each individual case.
The pathokinesiological approach in overcoming the motor deficit makes it possible to treat the specific patient, not the nosology. In this way, the routine and ineffective approach to applying kinesitherapeutic complexes is avoided and it is possible to develop an adequate and individually tailored kinesitherapeutic program.
In this regard, knowledge of kinesiology and pathokinesiology is very important for specialists working in the field of health care and functional restoration of the musculoskeletal system.
This book presents the state-of-the-art insights into human kinesiology and the characteristic pathokinesiology changes that occur in trauma and disease. It is aimed at the nature of work of kinesitherapists, occupational therapists, rehabilitators and doctors specializing in physical and rehabilitation medicine, orthopedics, traumatology, neurology, etc.
