Despite advances in obstetrics and the availability of powerful antibiotics, infectious diseases and complications in obstetrics are a leading cause of morbidity and mortality. Based on literature data and own experience, an analysis of the problems of infectious diseases and complications in the pregnant woman and the woman in labor was carried out. In relation to these problems, a modern, mostly useful behavior for midwifery practice in a clinical and therapeutic aspect has been developed. The book contains a number of case studies from the author's medical practice, which undoubtedly make the treated issues easier to understand. It reflects the personal experience of the author, as well as results of own methods for diagnosis, for surgical and therapeutic behavior. The issue of medication during pregnancy and lactation is also touched upon.
