This book is the first of its kind in Bulgaria. This book examines kinesiology, features of functional testing, and kinesitherapy of the spine. The main goal of the book is to provide guidelines for the appointment and implementation of an adequate kinesitherapy program for various pathologies of the spine (excluding diseases and injuries of the spinal cord). Every kinesitherapist must have basic skills for functional diagnosis and determination of the pathokinetic substrate of spinal dysfunction. The therapeutic problems related to overcoming postural deviations and dysfunctions, as well as kinesitherapy in the treatment of pain syndromes and spine injuries in the acute, subacute and chronic period. The principles and techniques for applying traction therapy are discussed separately. It has a scientifically applied nature and reflects the most modern methods of functional diagnosis and kinesitherapy of the most common disc, facet and postural problems of the spine. The material included exceeds the amount of knowledge required for a bachelor's degree in kinesitherapy and can be used by students studying the master's program or doctoral students. The book will also help all health professionals related to the treatment of functional problems of the spine - both kinesitherapists and neurologists, orthopedists and physiotherapists.
