Implementation of individual clinical cases in the practical training of students midwives
The scientific report presents an up-to-date and at the same time slightly developed pedagogical method - the individual clinical case (case study). It is a method of problem-situational analysis and refers to active, imitative learning.
In a conducted didactic study, it was established that with the application of the method in the discipline of Clinical practice. A higher level of assimilation of theoretical knowledge and skills is achieved in its practical application. The use of the method provides a safe clinical situation in which the creative potential of the trainees, individual clinical thinking is activated, and the search for new non-traditional solutions is stimulated. The method increases the motivation to study in the profession of Midwifery and potentializes continuous upgrade training.
Ch. Dr. Tsveta Hristova, assistant professor, is a professor of clinical practice at the Faculty of Public Health and Health Care of the "Angel Kanchev" University of Ruse. Her scientific and professional interests are in the field of obstetric health care for pregnant, gynecologically ill women, anesthesia and resuscitation, obstetric health care in reproductive health and assistance with specialized reproductive manipulations. There are dozens of scientific reports, articles and publications in Bulgarian and foreign specialized magazines.
