This book describes the nature of hereditary retinal dystrophies, which are genetic diseases from the group of "rare eye diseases". The etiopathogenesis, the clinical picture, the modern diagnostic methods for proving them, as well as the possibilities and prospects for treatment of the individual nosological units are examined in detail. The most up-to-date scientific information on the subject is presented, as well as interesting examples from the author's practice. The social aspects related to these rare but highly debilitating diseases are also examined.
