Teaching with individual clinical cases to optimize obstetric health care
The monograph presents an up-to-date and little-developed pedagogical method used in the training of student midwives - the method of the Individual Clinical Case (Case Study) and its role in optimizing midwifery health care. The specific didactic feature of healthcare professionals is that the didactic process takes place not only in university classrooms and laboratories, but also in clinical settings. The necessary cases for practical training do not always exist. This necessitates modeling of individual clinical cases by the teacher for the learning process.
The aim of the monograph is to theoretically justify and show the didactic expediency of using the Individual Clinical Case method in the educational environment of the higher education institution preparing Health care specialists.
The following tasks have been set, which must be solved:
1. To carry out an overview of the theoretical basics of the Individual case method
(Case Studies);
2. Development of a methodology for creating individual clinical cases;
3. Development of a methodology for using the Individual Clinical Case method in the practical training of student midwives, highlighting the stages of work;
4. Development of a methodology for assessing practical knowledge and skills with the Individual Clinical Case method;
5. To reveal the correlation "individual clinical case - clinical thinking - organization of health care"
6. Researching the attitudes of student midwives and teachers to work with the Individual Clinical Case method.
