Medical Oncology (Volume I)
A new medical oncology textbook was officially presented on February 9 in Sofia. This happened at a solemn ceremony in "Nadezhda" Medical Center in the presence of distinguished specialists from all over the country.
The textbook is in fact the second edition and was prepared by a large team of authors under the scientific editorship of Prof. Constanta Timcheva - national consultant in medical oncology and head of the Medical Oncology Clinic at the Nadezhda Medical Center.
Among the authors are distinguished representatives of the academic community such as Prof. A.-M. Borisova, Prof. I. Hristozova, Prof. Tsv. Tankova, Prof. Dr. Bobev, Assoc. R. Kaneva, Assoc. M. Mitkova, Assoc. A. Shinkov, Assoc. B. Borisov and others. prominent specialists in the field of medical oncology.
Due to the growing social significance of oncological diseases, the need to attract and train young personnel in the field of medical oncology is becoming greater. However, Bulgaria is among the few European countries where there is still no student training in the specialty. Therefore, this textbook has the status of a unique study guide in medical oncology.
