Presentation of Physiotherapy for internal and surgical diseases

Physiotherapy for internal and surgical diseases is intended for physiotherapy students (single group of 2264 physiotherapists from NKPD - 2011). The latest textbooks for the application of physical therapy (kinesitherapy) for these diseases were published in 1991. In the current edition, brief anatomical, physiological, pathological data and the impact of physical exercise in health and disease.

For each nosological unit, disease data relevant to the application of physiotherapy are described; basic methods for functional research, purpose, tasks, means, forms and instructions for applying the means of physiotherapy.

PHYSIOTHERAPY for INTERNAL AND SURGICAL DISEASES

Physiotherapist assistants from the Medical University, Sofia and Vasil Levski National Academy of Sciences participate in the writing of individual chapters. Used are available literature of foreign, Bulgarian authors and personal experience. They are aligned with the current curriculum; meeting the requirements of the World Confederation and the European Region of Physiotherapists and the needs of Bulgarian healthcare. The series of 9 basic physiotherapy textbooks (2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022) provides the opportunity to obtain the necessary training for the application of modern physiotherapy - therapeutic exercises. Manual therapy (types of healing massages; soft tissue techniques; mobilization of joints, nervous system) etc. specialized methods - Mackenzie, Bobat, Kabat,

Brunstrom, Perfetti, Tkacheva, with a Swiss ball, to restore the strength of weakened muscles; to restore sensation, coordination and much more; functional research methods; retraining of disadvantaged people; promotion; prevention; natural and reshaped physical factors. The publication of textbooks and teaching aids such as: Physiotherapy for injuries of the musculoskeletal system, Ergotherapy for physiotherapists, Special exercises for diseases, practical guides on: kinesiology, pathokinesiology, manual muscle testing; goniometry, Chinese massage, study aids for masters, manual for the physiotherapist teacher, etc.
The textbook can also be used by rehabilitators.
