A Guide to Dissecting Cadaver Topographic Anatomy - for Medical and Dental Students
The third edition of the Manual of Topographic Anatomy with Cadaver Dissection follows a ten-year period since the second edition. A change in the title of the manual was necessary to emphasize the topographical anatomy that is the basis for the surgically oriented clinic. Anatomia fundamentum medicinae est.
The text has been largely edited and supplemented, removing some inaccuracies, technical errors and unclear wording. Of particular value is the dissection technique described, which is original and created and practiced in the Department of Anatomy. histology and embryology since its founding in 1945 until now. In order to be unified, it is described in detail and edited after each assignment by only one long-time teacher from the department, Dr. T. Mateev.
The authors believe that, in its current form, the manual will be a successful aid for conducting the practical exercises with the students in the dissection rooms. We hope it makes students want to dissect.
Any feedback and suggestions for further improvement of the Guide will be gratefully received.
