The textbook "Nursing care of patients with infectious diseases" and the guide to it

are dedicated to one of the disciplines introduced after the synchronization of nursing education in Bulgaria with that in the European Union, and is part of "Practical foundations of medical care". Intended for the students of the "Nurse" and "Midwife" specialties, the textbook is also the first attempt to systematize the scientific knowledge on the subject, scattered in textbooks, reference books, manuals and scientific periodicals. Only the sources of the used literature exceed 130.

The textbook is composed of eight sections - introductory (introduction to infectious diseases, nosocomial infections), by types of infections (nursing care in patients with airborne infections, with transmissible infections, with intestinal infections, with roof infections, with infections with multiple mechanisms of transmission) and generalizing (immunoprophylaxis). Each section begins with a short content and ends with self-study questions. A list of the current normative documents in the field of infectious diseases, as well as samples of the main texts in them, are attached to the textbook and the manual.
