The compulsory preparation textbook for grade 10 is the main textbook for biology and health education. It contains lessons in 4 sections: levels of organization of the multicellular organism; heredity and variability of organisms; individual development in animals and humans; evolution of organisms. Some lessons (3–4 in number) are larger and are planned to be taught in 2 school hours, and all the others – in 1 school hour. In places, optional information is included in the main text (marked appropriately). At the end of each lesson, there is a short summary of the „most important“ and several questions and tasks. The textbook includes a small section with laboratory exercises, a set of test questions and tasks on the entire teaching material and a dictionary with all the important terms used. The textbook allows for full preparation for participation in a biology candidate student competition.

The textbook for specialized preparation is intended for students with a heightened interest in biology. It includes all the teaching material from the textbook for compulsory preparation, along with the optional information for the first level. It is supplemented with extended lessons on topics from the basic textbook, as well as new topics important for the development of modern ideas about biological processes and phenomena.
The textbook includes 28 lessons, some of which are longer and are designed for 2 school hours. Each lesson unit includes a richly illustrated main text, and the most important definitions and summaries are highlighted. Sometimes, additional explanations, interesting facts or other details are placed in appropriate places. The lesson ends with several questions and tasks that would help to better understand the main text.
The textbook has a section with laboratory exercises and assignments that proceed at the discretion of the teacher.
At the end, test questions and assignments are offered on the entire biology material for grade 10.
