Dental Materials Science Part 1 is intended for dental students. The first part includes theory, combined with very useful tips for practice, and laboratory exercise protocols. Topics from general materials science are presented, which cover the structure of materials and their properties - physical, optical, mechanical and technological. The laboratory exercise protocols are intended for students to work on during exercises and self-training at home. They indicate the purpose and method of conducting the practical exercise; the tasks that need to be completed; the necessary tools and equipment.
