CHILDREN'S NEUROPSYCHOLOGY
The monograph is the result of Neli Vasileva's long-term research and research in the field of child neuropsychology and provides a detailed overview of the theoretical and practical aspects of this current branch of cognitive neuroscience. Particular attention is paid to the neuropsychology of individual differences and its importance in determining variants of typical child development and in identifying children at risk of learning disorders. A central place in the book is occupied by the neurophysiological organization and early ontogenesis of higher mental functions - gnostic, praxical, linguistic and emotional. A separate section presents the existing methods of neuropsychological diagnosis and neuropsychologically oriented therapy.
The book is intended for speech therapists, psychologists and educators, as well as for doctoral students and medical specialists in the field of child development and health.
Associate Professor Neli Vasileva is a lecturer at the Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski", Department of Special Pedagogy and Speech Therapy. Her research interests are in speech therapy, neuropsychology and special psychology. He is the author and co-author of three books and more than 60 scientific publications in Bulgarian and foreign publications.
