The materials in the guide are divided into three parts:
1. General infectology. 1.1. General issues of the clinic of infectious diseases.
For the first time in our literature, the doctrine of infection, the infectious process and infectious disease, the main clinical syndromes, cardiovascular and renal changes in infectious diseases, infectious diseases during pregnancy, infectious diseases and immunizations, etc.
Methods for diagnosing and treating infectious diseases, dispensary monitoring of those who have recovered, therapeutic and epidemiological approaches to detected carriers, etc. are widely discussed.
1.2. General issues of the epidemiology of infectious diseases.
2. Special infectology. It examines 238 infectious diseases, divided into 7 chapters: airborne infections, intestinal infections, transmissible infections, infections of the outer coverings, infections with multiple or insufficiently clarified transmission mechanisms, infectious dermatoses and sexually transmitted diseases.
3. Applied infectology. Includes modern taxonomy of bacteria and viruses, classic and new vaccines, the immunization calendar of Bulgaria, etc.
