The book contains an introduction to the theory of stuttering - definitions, manifestations, etiology and developmental models. From the perspective of "evidence-based practices", therapy programs are presented, divided according to age groups - preschool and school-age children and adults.

The book also offers assessment protocols that can be used in the practice of specialists working with children and adults with fluency disorders.

Margarita Stankova graduated from the Medical University and the Master's program "Communication Disorders" at the New Bulgarian University. She has a PhD in medicine. She teaches in the programs of psychology, speech therapy and special pedagogy at NBU. Her scientific and practical interests are focused on the problems of child development - mental illnesses and communication disorders.
