Menopause Manifesto
The only predictable thing about menopause is its unpredictability. Add in inadequate health care, conflicting information, and social taboo, and it's no wonder women don't know what to expect during the menopause transition and beyond.
Menopause is not a disease – it is a natural change, just like puberty. That's why we need to be informed about what's going on, rather than trying to deal with our troubling symptoms on our own. Women often see menopause as saying goodbye to youth, when in fact it can be the beginning of a very fruitful and beautiful stage of their lives. If we know what is going on in our body, why the changes are happening and what we can do, it will give us a sense of control and confidence.
Outspoken and funny, Dr. Jen Ganter debunks many widespread myths about menopause to reveal everything we really need to know:
• heat waves
• sleep disorders
• sex and libido
• perimenopause
• depression and mood swings
• weight and muscle mass
• types of therapies, etc.
Informative and practical, the book will revolutionize the way women experience menopause and improve their lives!
