Methodology of academic teaching in the Higher Medical School
The methodology of academic teaching is developed under the project "Creation of a system for career growth of teachers at the Medical University "Prof. Dr. Paraskev Stoyanov" - Varna, as a guide for their pedagogical and andragogical activity". It includes a relatively wide range of problems that reveal global, European, national and local (university) trends and policies related to the development of higher education in our country and, in particular, higher medical education.
The emphasis in the methodology is placed on the preparation, implementation and evaluation of the training process in the higher medical school. For this purpose, the theoretical statements are illustrated with specific examples and useful advice regarding goal setting, the selection of forms and methods of training and control, the interaction between the main subjects (students, teachers and patients), the management of the training process.
Beginning teachers will find in it useful information for both the preparation and implementation of lectures, seminars, laboratory and practical classes. And we hope that teachers with more experience will discover scientific arguments and guidelines for changing their teaching work, with the aim of improving it and making it more effective.
