Autoimmune diseases account for a significant proportion of morbidity in developed countries and their incidence is constantly increasing.

The book presents the most common autoimmune diseases, as well as some modern aspects of autoimmunity and transplantation, the role of autoimmunity in emerging problems in reproduction, the application of new biological agents and stem cells as therapeutic approaches in autoimmune diseases.

The textbook is the first of its kind in Bulgarian literature and is intended both for students and for specialized and practicing doctors. This publication aims to direct the attention of Bulgarian specialists to autoimmune diseases and enrich knowledge in this area.
