Maxillo facial surgery
Maxillofacial surgery is a synthetic specialty that combines therapeutic and operative methods from Surgery, Dentistry, Neurosurgery, ENT, Ophthalmology.
The unit works closely with one of the world's leading schools of plastic and reconstructive surgery in Paris and personally with world-renowned surgeons. Complex medical cases are consulted via video conferencing.
Activity Maxillofacial surgery in the Hospital works in all areas of oral and maxillofacial surgery.

Reconstructive, plastic-restorative and aesthetic maxillofacial surgery
One of the priority areas developed by the unit for Maxillofacial Surgery in Hospital is Reconstructive, plastic-restorative and aesthetic maxillofacial surgery
Reconstructive maxillofacial surgery restores deformed or completely lost tissues and organs of the face and neck after traumatic damage to soft tissues and bone structures as a result of congenital diseases, tumor processes, traumatic injuries, domestic injuries, burns or surgical interventions.
The performed plastic-reconstructive operations, in addition to traditional reconstructions (with tissues adjacent to the defect, plastics with different shapes, free transfer of skin and bone, etc.) also use the most modern methods of microvascular transfer and transplantation. The operations involve obtaining tissues from the patient (bone, muscle, skin, etc.) and transferring them to the maxillofacial area.
A special place is devoted to the extremely complex reconstruction of the upper frontal floor and especially the bony orbits.
Methods and procedures performed include:
- Rhinoplasty (correction of the nose)
- Lifting the face mask (facelift)
- Septorhinoplasty (correction of the nose and nasal septum)
- Otoplasty (ear correction)
- Mentoplasty (beard correction)
- Blepharoplasty (eyelid correction)
- Reconstructions with microvascular transfer and transplantation
- Distraction osteogenesis
- Maxillofacial prosthetics (anaplastology)
