Clinical and morphological otology
The book is recommended as a basic guide to clinical otology.
It presents in a systematized form all the otological problems currently addressed in similar Western European manuals. The material is divided into two parts. In the first, the anatomy and physiology of the auditory-vestibular analyzer are covered while emphasizing modern theories of acoustic-vestibular perception.
When presenting the anatomical features, special attention is paid to the practical difficulties that may arise during surgical interventions on the ear. The second part is devoted entirely to diseases of the ears, endocrine complications, inflammatory and other complications in morbid lesions inducing vertibriginous symptoms.
The pathology of benign and malignant diseases is also presented in detail. A special place is devoted to deafness - its etiology, early diagnosis and modern intracochlear treatment by means of cochlear implants.
