INTRODUCTION
"Perfection is achieved not when there is nothing to add, but when there is nothing to take away"
Antoine de Saint Exupery
The topic of quality is a key issue in every area of tangible and intangible production, including healthcare systems. Quality in medicine has excited people since Antiquity, but attention to this topic significantly increased in the second half of the 20th century. Today, the quality paradigm has not only a medico-social, moral-ethical and humanitarian significance, but is also of interest from the point of view of its management and financing.
Cyber-psychology, behavioral aspects
As a relatively new interdisciplinary scientific direction in management theory, "Quality Management" arose in the USA in the first decades of the last century. Later, the quality management movement spread throughout the world, including in medical practice. It is not by chance that a new branch of health management - medical quality science - is being established on a global scale.
The academic discipline "Medical Qualitology" studies the essence, content and management of the quality of medical care, which in modern reality is the most important predictor for achieving a sustainable competitive advantage. This textbook traces the history of quality management theory from its inception to the present day and enables readers to expand their knowledge by becoming familiar with the underlying values, concepts and philosophies associated with it.
Practice Guide…
As a long-time teacher in this field, I hope that such a textbook will be useful reading not only for students of public health and health management, but also for anyone interested in the issues under consideration.
