Aggressive children appear to others as troublemakers, disrupting the order, while they themselves are perceived as victims. The proven program of Franz and Ulrike Petermann shows how aggressive children can be taken out of the closed cycle of violence.
"Working with children with aggressive behavior" describes the phenomena and causes of aggressive behavior and presents a therapeutic program for aggressive children that aims to teach them appropriate ways of behaving. The program can be conducted as individual or group work, as well as combined with accompanying work with parents. It is suitable for boys and girls between 6 and 12 years old who show aggressive and oppositional behavior. It can take place as parenting counseling, psychotherapy, in children's homes or inpatient medical facilities.
The program is supplemented with materials, examples from therapeutic practice and a description of critical situations in therapy.
