Dr. Petya Angelova's monograph was conceived and realized on the basis of the author's rich practical experience in her work with patients with musculoskeletal dysfunctions and lumbar pain.
With its development, she has directed her efforts in the search for effective means for the return of functional activity when performing daily activities and reducing sensations of pain during movement. The author's excellent knowledge of the studied problem is evident in the monograph, and the presentation style shows high professionalism.
The problem developed in the monograph is of great social importance and relevance in the field of rehabilitation and sports medicine. The essence and importance of stretching exercises for the restoration of functional activity, reduction of myofascial pain and prevention of relapses have been thoroughly studied.
The scientific development has a volume of 136 pages and contains four main chapters, conclusions and recommendations, bibliography. The work is precisely illustrated with 26 tables, 45 figures and photographic material - 24 photographs. The bibliography consists of 126 literary sources, of which 18 are in Cyrillic and 108 in Latin.
