We present to you the third volume of "Selected chapters from gynecological practice". Gynecological science, like any scientific discipline, marks its progress with the introduction of new techniques and knowledge.

Scientific achievements are appearing, with the help of which the modern obstetrician-gynecologist solves health problems that until recently were insufficiently and not so effectively influenced.

Proof of this in this textbook are the chapters "Assisted and reproductive technologies: methods for induction of ovulation", "Hysteroscopy" and "Chronic pelvic pain in gynecological patients - modern diagnosis and behavior".

The knowledge of medical problems in the column of clinical non-oncological gynecology has been updated. The outflow of hormone replacement therapy in some menopausal patients has scientific evidence, shown in the modern reading of the chapter "Menopause". "Vaginitis" and "Tuberculosis of the female genitalia" are presented as a well-known and forgotten pathology, but also as a problem with serious health consequences on reproductive health.

Regarding "Static anomalies of the female genitalia", the skills to remove them from the young obstetrician-gynecologists are not only insufficient, but also difficult to build. With the current "renaissance" of this pathology, the presented material is absolutely timely.

Gynecology

The chapters "Benign tumors of the ovary", "Diagnostic and therapeutic problems in the pelvis arising from certain surgical diseases" and "Treatment of acute pain in operative gynecology" again show that medical specialties should not be considered as separate entities, and the knowledge of all doctors to follow the trends of interdisciplinary thinking and approach.
