Complex focal remediation of the oral cavity in patients with upcoming and performed organ transplantation

In 2009, the importance of dental care in relation to organ transplantation was assessed by the competent state institutions in the form of the Scientific Research Fund. In the same year, a project was launched on the topic "Optimization of the complex focal dental rehabilitation of patients on hemodialysis and kidney transplants", in which the diagnostic, treatment and teaching activities of the Faculty of Dentistry were based. medicine - Sofia. One of the goals of the project was to familiarize colleagues from various medical specialties and students of dental medicine with the possibility of including dentistry in the field of transplant medicine through the created methodology. The present work presents precisely this new methodology, expanding the scope of scientific research with a view to the problem of organ donation, the role of patient organizations and society.
