Neurology - Milanov
Preface
It has been 5 years since the last edition of the neurology textbook. During this time, many new data were accumulated, especially regarding the treatment of neurological diseases. Neurology is a rapidly developing science, with ever-increasing opportunities for clinical practice. This requires us to periodically revise and update our knowledge. We have tried to include the latest and most up-to-date data from world literature in this textbook so that it can be relevant for at least another 5 years.
This textbook is intended for neuroscientists. Its ambition is to comprehensively cover the main problems of neurology and to be of assistance to both general practitioners and specialist neurologists. It contains the foundation of neurology that can be useful to any physician in everyday life. It is important to master the main, essential part of the material, and the subtleties can always be consulted. We also thought from this point of view when preparing this textbook. It does not contain the detailed information that is known about individual nosological units. For this purpose, various monographs have been published, which provide an opportunity to delve into the intricacies of the given disease. We have emphasized more on diagnostic methods, differential diagnosis and the treatment of diseases. We have tried to briefly present the pathogenetic mechanisms and the pathoanatomical substrate. Perhaps we have indulged in more than necessary details. We hope that in future editions these errors will be corrected, thanks to the opinions of the doctors who will use this guide.
