The third edition of Textbook of Human Anatomy is after extended semantic and technical editing of the text from the previous edition. This was necessary to adapt the textbook to the needs not only of medical students but also of all non-medical majors who study normal human anatomy. So the proposed textbook will be able to be used by students of all specialties of medical colleges, nurses, midwives, pharmacists, biologists, educators.
The Latin anatomical terminology for the organs and structures in the human organism was more widely introduced in the texts. The ancient Greek names of most organs are also given, as they form the basis of clinical terminology. Correct use of anatomical nomenclature is an indicative element of learner culture. The text is of sufficient volume to create lasting knowledge in students about the normal structure of the human organism. In an appendix, there are tables for quick reference of muscle data - attachment sites, function and innervation, as well as their formation in functional groups. A table for the derivatives of the germ sheets is also proposed.
The Human Anatomy textbook for undergraduate students has gained positive evaluation and wide popularity for its complete coverage of the material in one optimal volume. This is the reason for offering a third edition, which has the text edited and illustrated with anatomical pictures. The text on the biomechanics of joints was specially added, which is of particular importance for the specialties Rehabilitator and Kinesitherapist.
We hope that the current edition of the textbook will significantly facilitate the students' training on the normal structure of the human body.
